AWS Certified (again)!
I have successfully passed my second AWS certification
I passed the AWS ML Engineer Associate Exam this week and that feels great! It does, seriously. I've put in a lot of effort on this one as I knew this exam was tougher than the AI Practitioner I took a couple of months ago.

Generally speaking, my approach was the same from my last exam. I used a couple of online courses and some mock tests to get prepared.

The long process
I was pretty pumped for this exam. I got even more excited when I met with an AWS Solution Architect who told me there was a lot of overlap between the AI Practitioner Foundational Certification and the AWS ML Engineer Associate Certification. I told myself, "Yes! this is going to be easy then".
Yes! this is going to be easy then!
I guess this was far from the truth. This exam has a lot more hardcore ML concepts that I needed much more time to understand and process.
Life happens
And then life happened ... My kids got sick, I got sick ... a couple of times!
Meanwhile at work, we closed a major new deal with a global payments provider. Life got really busy.
And I saw myself pushing this exam back twice. Not ideal.
The aftermath
With all of that said, that's why this one feels great. I had to overcome a few challenges whilst trying to keep myself focused and engaged with my studies. The effort paid off and I am now applying this knowledge with a few projects we've got going on at Triniti - particularly around model optimisation and choosing the right ML approach for our venture portfolio.
Next Steps
I will continue this journey of becoming better through challenging myself on a few more AWS Certifications. Not only does this add a great deal of knowledge but it helps me drive AI and ML projects within Triniti. The tech landscape moves fast, and staying ahead means getting uncomfortable with new concepts. This certification pushed me beyond GenAI into the real mechanics of ML - exactly where I need to be as we build AI-first ventures.
Onwards and upwards!
